About Our Club

Tannenbaum Ski Club is the largest ski club in Europe and has been around for 60 years in the KMC area! We are here to offer a much more enjoyable experience than other providers offer in the area.  Our groups range from those that just like to party and be social, to some hardcore skiers and riders that dream of snow year round. That’s right! If you just want to go to the mountains, sit in the sauna, go for a hike, or cross-country ski before warming up around the fire, come join us!  If you have been interested in skiing or snowboarding and are just looking for an opportunity, Tannenbaum Ski and Snowboard club is for you.

Our goal is not only to go ski & ride, but be a club too!  We meet twice a month (first and third Wednesday) throughout the year just to have some refreshments and socialize with like mind people.

We also get together and go to wine and beer festivals throughout Europe before we start the ski season in OCTOBER!  We usually take 10-15 ski trips every year and finish up with a trip to Ishgl, Austria where they always have a huge end of year concert on the mountain with big name performers.

Welcome to the club!

Message From The Board

Hello Tannenbaumers and welcome to our club’s 61th season! I want to extend a special welcome to those who have yet to experience a Tannenbaum event.

Our club's goal is to get people together and take in all that Europe has to offer.  While our main focus might be skiing and snowboarding, we also love to put groups together to enjoy wine fests, beer fests, and even float trips.  Over the next year we would like to gauge club members interest in more summer trips. The Alps are known for their Hutte Hikes, so if you are a peak bagger, let us know! There is also mountain biking, white water rafting, canyoning, and sommerrodelbahn (summer sledding on a track), so again, if you have an interest in doing something like this, let us know.

Tannenbaum doesn’t discriminate due to your ability level, so whatever your ability, there are ample opportunities for you to take advantage of some of the best snow conditions and après-ski in the world! Most locations also offer other fun snowy adventures such as sledding, snow-shoeing, cross country, and dog sledding for example!

The season starts early in Europe thanks to multiple glacial ski resorts, so after the fall festival season is over, it’s time to wax those skis and boards as we will be headed to the infamous Tirol region of Austria in October and southern Austria in November.  So while all your friends in the US are dancing for the snow gods, you can be getting in some turns or just enjoying the mountains. We may have "Ski & Snowboard Club" in our name, do not be afraid. Many of our loyal members come on our trips for the social aspect and the amazing locations we explore!

I believe being part of a club is more than just having someone to ride the bus with, so twice a month we get together to break bread, have some refreshments, tell tall tales and learn more about upcoming trips.  This is also the time to meet new people, the trip captains and plan your next trip!

Tannenbaum is a non-profit, volunteer organization. We are always in need of additional volunteers and assistance to make all the magic happen. We do our very best to run our bi-monthly meetings and trips as smoothly and professionally as possible, but sometimes hiccups do occur. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.  If you have any ideas or you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Once again, welcome to the area and I look forward to seeing you all!

Tschüss,

Tannenbaum Board Members
